=S=> BGB 1242. 1 The lawful sale of the pledged item gives the purchaser the same rights as if he had purchased the thing from the owner . This also applies if it is knocked down to the pledgee .
=S=> BGB 1242. 2 Pledges of the thing are extinguished , even if the purchaser had knowledge of them . The same applies to a usufruct , unless it outranks all pledges in priority .
