=S=> BGB 1232 The pledgee is not obliged to surrender the pledged item to a pledgee who is lower-ranking than himself for the purpose of sale . If he is not in possession of the pledged item , then he may not , unless he himself handles the sale , object to sale by a lower-ranking pledgee .
