=S=> BGB 1205. 1 To create a pledge , it is necessary for the owner to deliver the thing to the creditor and for both to agree that the creditor is to be entitled to the pledge . If the creditor is in possession of the thing , agreement on the creation of the pledge suffices .
=S=> BGB 1205. 2 The delivery of possession of a thing in the indirect possession of the owner may be replaced by the owner transferring indirect possession to the pledgee and notifying the possessor of the pledging .
