=S=> GG 45 The Bundestag shall appoint a Committee on the Affairs of the European Union . It may authorise the committee to exercise the rights of the Bundestag under Article 23 vis-à-vis the Federal Government . It may also empower it to exercise the rights granted to the Bundestag under the contractual foundations of the European Union .
