BGB 1205. 2 The delivery of possession of a thing in the indirect possession of the owner may be replaced by the owner transferring indirect possession to the pledgee and notifying the possessor of the pledging .
BGB 1207 If the thing does not belong to the pledgor , the provisions of sections 932 , 934 and 935 governing the acquisition of ownership apply with the necessary modifications to the pledging .
