BGB 1835a. 1 For the discharge of his claim to compensation for expenses , the guardian , as reimbursement for expenses , may demand , for each guardianship for which he is not entitled to payment , a sum of money which for one year corresponds to nineteen times the amount that may be granted to a witness as the maximum amount of reimbursement for one lost working hour ( section 22 of the Court Payment and Reimbursement Act [ Justizvergütungs - und - entschädigungsgesetz ] ) ( reimbursement for expenses ) . If the guardian has already received an advance payment or compensation for such outlays , the reimbursement for expenses is correspondingly reduced .
