=S=> BGB 1615. 1 The maintenance claim expires on the death of the person entitled or of the person obliged , to the extent that it is not directed at performance or damages for nonperformance for the past or at such performance to be made in advance as is due at the time of the death of the person entitled or of the person obliged .
=S=> BGB 1615. 2 In the case of the death of the person entitled , the person obliged bears the costs of the funeral to the extent that payment for it cannot be obtained from the heir .
