=S=> BGB 1604 Where the person with an obligation to maintain lives under the matrimonial property regime of community of property , his obligation to maintain towards relatives is determined as if the marital property belonged to him . Where both persons living under the matrimonial property regime of community of property have indigent relatives , the maintenance is to be paid from the marital property as if the indigent relatives had the relationship to both persons with an obligation to maintain on which the obligation to maintain of the person obliged is based .
