=S=> BGB 975 The delivery of the thing or of the proceeds of the auction to the competent authority does not affect the rights of the finder . If the competent authority has the thing auctioned , the proceeds take the place of the thing . The competent authority may hand over the thing or the proceeds to a person entitled to receive only with the approval of the finder .
