BGB 1835. 1a The family court may lay down a period deviating from subsection ( 1 ) sentence 3 of a minimum of two months . The fixing of the period must contain information on the consequences of failure to observe the time limit . On application , the period may be extended by the family court . The claim expires to the extent that it is not quantified within the period .

BGB 1835. 1a Das Familiengericht kann eine von Absatz 1 Satz 3 abweichende Frist von mindestens zwei Monaten bestimmen . In der Fristbestimmung ist über die Folgen der Versäumung der Frist zu belehren . Die Frist kann auf Antrag vom Familiengericht verlängert werden . Der Anspruch erlischt , soweit er nicht innerhalb der Frist beziffert wird .
