EnglischBGB 702a. 1 The innkeeper may only be released from liability in advance to the extent that the sum involved exceeds the applicable maximum amount under section 702 ( 1 ) . Nor may the innkeeper be released from liability even to this extent in the case that the loss , destruction or damage was caused intentionally or with gross negligence by the innkeeper or the helpers of the innkeeper or that it involves things whose acceptance for safekeeping the innkeeper refused contrary to the provisions of section 702 ( 3 ) .
BGB 702a. 1 Die Haftung des Gastwirts kann im Voraus nur erlassen werden , soweit sie den nach § 702 Abs . 1 maßgeblichen Höchstbetrag übersteigt . Auch insoweit kann sie nicht erlassen werden für den Fall , dass der Verlust , die Zerstörung oder die Beschädigung von dem Gastwirt oder von Leuten des Gastwirts vorsätzlich oder grob fahrlässig verursacht wird oder dass es sich um Sachen handelt , deren Übernahme zur Aufbewahrung der Gastwirt entgegen der Vorschrift des § 702 Abs . 3 abgelehnt hat .
